As India gears up to celebrate its 77th Independence Day, the Ministry of Defence, in collaboration with MyGov, is organizing a unique painting competition titled "Mission Life." This competition aims to highlight the importance of environmental conservation through individual and community actions, encouraging participants to showcase their creativity and commitment to sustainable living.
About the Competition
The "Mission Life" painting competition is designed to shine a spotlight on the Mission LiFE initiative, which champions environmental conservation through daily practices. Participants are invited to create artworks that depict how individuals and communities can protect and preserve the environment in their everyday lives. This initiative not only celebrates India's vibrant cultural traditions but also unites the youth and the public in a shared commitment to global environmental stewardship.
Participation Guidelines
To participate in the "Mission Life" painting competition, follow these guidelines:
1. **Theme**: Your painting should depict individual or community actions that contribute to environmental conservation.
2. **Creativity**: Unleash your creativity and use your artwork to highlight the importance of safeguarding our environment.
3. **Submission**: Ensure your painting aligns with the theme and showcases daily practices that promote sustainable living.
Prizes and Recognition
The competition offers exciting prizes and recognition for the top participants:
- **1st Prize**: ₹ 25,000/-
- **2nd Prize**: ₹ 15,000/-
- **3rd Prize**: ₹ 10,000/-
Additionally, the top 250 participants will receive invitation cards from the Ministry of Defence to witness the Independence Day Celebration at Red Fort, Delhi, on 15th August 2024.
How to Participate
To participate in the competition, visit the [MyGov website](https://www.mygov.in/task/painting-competition-theme-mission-life/) and follow the submission guidelines. The competition is open to all, and submissions are accepted until July 30, 2024.
Terms and conditions
All Indian Citizens can participate in the competition.
2. One participant can submit a maximum of one entry only. Once submitted an entry
cannot be withdrawn.
3. Please note that the work must be original and should not violate any provision of the
Indian Copyright Act, 1957. Anyone found infringing on others’ copyrights would be
disqualified
4. The participant should ensure that his / her MyGov profile is accurate and updated
since the Ministry would use this for further communication.
5. Discovery/detection/noticing of use of any unfair/spurious means/malpractices,
including but not limited to impersonation, double participation, etc. during the
participation in the competition, will result in the participation being declared null and
void and hence, rejected. The organizers of the competition or any agency acting on
their behalf reserves the right in this regard.
6. The entries submitted would be the sole property of the Ministry of Defence with the
right to use and right to edit for any purpose it considers appropriate.
7. Employees, directly or indirectly connected with organizing the competition, are not
eligible to participate in the competition. This Ineligibility also applies to their immediate
family members.
8. Winners will be announced based on the screening of paintings by a designated
Screening Committee in the Ministry of Defence. The decision of the committee will be
final and binding to all the entries and no requests relating to claims of re-evaluation.
The decision of the Screening Committee may not be challenged further in any mode
9. Bonafide documents (proof of identity, age, address, and bank details), will be required
to be submitted by the winners after the announcement of the result of the competition.
Non-furnishing of the above information/documents at the appropriate stage will render
the selection null and void.
10. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, organizers reserve the right to amend or
withdraw the competition at any time. For the avoidance of doubt, this includes the right
to amend these terms and conditions.
11. The Ministry of Defence will disburse the winning amount to the selected winner
