As India prepares to celebrate its 77th Independence Day, the Ministry of Defence, in collaboration with MyGov, invites the youth to participate in an inspiring essay competition themed "Ek Bharat, Shrestha Bharat." This competition aims to highlight the unity in diversity that defines India, encouraging participants to share their perspectives on how the country's diverse cultures contribute to its unique identity.


About the Competition


The "Ek Bharat, Shrestha Bharat" essay competition provides a vibrant platform for Indian youth to reflect on the nation's journey to greatness. Participants are encouraged to delve into the rich tapestry of India's cultural diversity and explore how it fosters unity and strength. This initiative not only celebrates India's cultural heritage but also instills a sense of pride and patriotism among the participants.


Participation Guidelines


To participate in the "Ek Bharat, Shrestha Bharat" essay competition, follow these guidelines:

1. **Theme**: Write an essay on the topic "Ek Bharat, Shrestha Bharat," showcasing the essence of unity in diversity in Indian culture.

2. **Word Limit**: The essay should be between 500-600 words.

3. **Language**: Entries can be submitted in either English or Hindi.

4. **Originality**: Ensure that your work is original and does not violate any provisions of the Indian Copyright Act, 1957.

5. **Submission**: Each participant can submit only one entry. Once submitted, entries cannot be withdrawn.


Prizes and Recognition

- **1st Prize**: ₹ 25,000/-

- **2nd Prize**: ₹ 15,000/-

- **3rd Prize**: ₹ 10,000/-


Additionally, the top 250 participants will receive invitation cards from the Ministry of Defence to witness the Independence Day Celebration at Red Fort, Delhi, on 15th August 2024.

Important Points to Note


1. Ensure your MyGov profile is accurate and updated for further communication.

2. Any use of unfair means or malpractices will result in disqualification.

3. The entries submitted will be the sole property of the Ministry of Defence, with the right to use and edit as deemed appropriate.

4. Employees connected with organizing the competition and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate.

5. Winners will be announced based on the screening of essays by a designated committee, and their decision will be final.
